Leona “Jeanie” De Leon is an accomplished theatre artist and educator. Among her production credits include direction and design for Noises Off, Into the Woods, and The Diviners.  Some favorite roles she's played include May (Fool For Love) and Evalita (Daddy's Dyin', Who's Got the Will?), and Beverly (Shadow Box).  Having taught secondary theatre arts in Houston and Austin, as well as playwriting and improvisation workshops to elementary, secondary, and college undergraduates, Leona believes that raising the next generation in creativity and artistic expression is a vital cause.  She is originally from Frognot, Texas and currently lives in Bastrop with her husband, Guillermo, her daughter Zoe, Ethel the pug, and Jack the cat. She's proud to be working with the Latino Comedy Project and is currently adjusting to her newest role – Mom!
